Donna and Linda's passion for collecting keepsakes and for appreciating aesthetic beauty can be traced to Grandmother Charlotta Mohr, who gave family heirlooms to her young granddaughters as holiday and birthday gifts.
Today, Donna and her husband live in an 1880 Victorian Iowa home appointed with a walnut staircase, metal embossed ceiling, and Grandmother's player piano. They have renovated and decorated their period home while missing very few midwest estate auctions. Donna's talent for writing, honed by a master's degree in journalism from Drake University, is showcased in the company's electronic newsletter - Continuations.
Linda's fascination for travel takes her abroad to haunt such world famous markets as Portobello and Bermodsey in London, Puces in Paris, and Porta Portese in Rome. Her master's degree in Textiles and Clothing from Purdue University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern helped pave the path to the RoundAbout Antiques venture. Her fondness for vintage wicker is accentuated by crisp white linens and lace in her Florida home.
Managing RoundAbout Antiques purr-fectly is Katarina, Linda's 14 year old orange marmalade cat. Occasionally, Katarina and her late beloved assistant, Tatianna, have been caught checking out the merchandise. Oh yes, the purple satin smocked pillow will do just fine!
